MediaCentre 3.5 (2000/XP)     

FREE MP3/WAV/PLS/M3U MEDIA PLAYER                                   

This is a very small player that uses a version of Windows Media Player (WMP) included with Windows 2000 or XP.  I still use an old Pentium I for most of my work and the latest players are all too big and too slow.  You can drag and drop files onto the player, play individual songs or playlists and more.  All the features you need and nothing that you don't.  It can play every format that WMP does, including videos and will open with the same screen as when closed. The version for WMP9 is no longer being developed, now one size fits all.  The player requires VB6 runtime files which are included in the Installation Wizard if not installed on your machine.  Use the online check for updates to be notified of new versions.  Let me know of any bugs or ideas so I can improve this cool little player.....suggestions? Copy To Device
This new feature is designed for this with portable hard drives, USB drives or MP3 players that appear as drives in Windows.  It allows you to easily add/remove folders and files from a drive and to copy a playlist of songs onto your player with one click.  This way your original song files remain on your computer and you can erase or update your playlist and drive easily.  Simply choose the target drive and folder and press the red copy button and the files will be transferred.

This is a complete rebuild of MediaCentre.  The entire program has been rebuilt from the ground up.  It has twice as many features yet is the same size as version 3.0.  This is the basis for the next generation of MediaCentre.  Let me know YOUR thoughts.

Updates
To update the software simply download the appropriate EXE file and copy it into the folder where you installed MediaCentre.  Default locations is C:\Program Files\MediaCentre\.
